My name is La'tasha Mulrooney and I am the Chair of the Liverpool Young Culture Action Group. The Children's Festival was our idea and has grown bigger and better over the last 7 years, last year attracting over 8,000 people.

This year it took place on August 10th between 11am & 4.00pm down on William Brown street & around the Museum District.

Lots of organisations in Liverpool support the festival by bringing free activities, workshops or performances.

It is really important to our group that Children and Young People have a chance to be involved in arts events and our event is especially important because it is completely FREE! (Latasha, age 17 - Group Chair)
